Blogs & Newsletters Are Back!

I’m so excited to be starting these up again and to have the chance to share more about yoga, wellness, and all things community with you. As I mentioned in a previous newsletter, here’s a little reminder of the difference between the two and what you can expect from each:

What’s the Difference?

🧘 Blogs: More in-depth and focused - formal articles exploring specific yoga topics, debunking common misconceptions, sharing research, or diving deep into particular poses and breathwork techniques.

💌 Newsletters: A more casual, heartfelt space where I share weekly updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and little doses of goodness for our community.

Monday Evening Class - Thank You!

I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am with the response to my new Monday evening class. It’s always such a joy meeting new students, and I feel so grateful to guide you along your own yoga journeys.

This new Monday class is a wonderful opportunity for you to come multiple times a week or to join in if you’ve missed your usual session. It also creates a beautiful space for students from different classes to connect and share in the practice of yoga together.

The Power of Self-Compassion

I had a rainbow join me before teaching Wednesday's class!
I had a rainbow join me before teaching Wednesday's class!

Self-compassion has always been close to my heart. On my first day of yoga teacher training in Greece, our teacher asked us to choose one word to guide us through the course, and I chose: self-compassion.

I’ve always tried to be open about my mental health - both to help reduce stigma and to remind others that they are not alone. Like many people, I can be incredibly hard on myself, often saying things inwardly that I would never dream of saying to someone else.

For me, self-compassion is about learning to be gentle with yourself, to care for yourself the way you would care for a loved one. It’s not always easy, but like any practice, it unfolds over time as you keep showing up for yourself. Don’t get me wrong, we’re all still going to have ups and downs, but it’s about how we guide ourselves through the downs and support our own healing along the way.

Tealights

Through therapy for anxiety and fibromyalgia, I’ve learned many self-compassion techniques that I now use daily. They have become a foundation for both my well-being and my yoga practice, and I hope to share my love of self-compassion with you all, so you too can bring more kindness into your relationship with yourself.

I hope you all enjoyed the candles I gave you at the end of class! They’re perfect for lighting as you wind down in the evening, whether with a relaxing bath or a soothing cup of sleepy tea.

Exciting News – New Yoga Mats & Blocks!

I’ve just added brand-new yoga mats and blocks in the Yoga by Eloise colours to my private garden studio in Buckhurst Hill!

Teal yoga mats and matching blocks

I offer female-only private lessons, and your first private session is only £20!

I absolutely love teaching privates because it allows me to really get to know each of you better and create lessons specifically for your body and your needs.

How I’m Structuring Classes Moving Forward

Each week will now have one central theme. For those attending multiple sessions, this is a great chance to really embody that theme and weave it into your week.

Each class will feature a different peak pose and pranayama (breathing technique) to

keep things fresh, so even if you come to several classes, you won’t simply be repeating the same lesson. Instead, you’ll explore different poses and focus on different areas of the body.

Chakra Series Returns

7 week chakra series

Starting next week, I’m bringing back my 7-week Chakra Series!

There will be a few weeks in between with other themes, but over the next few

months, we’ll explore these fascinating energy centres together.

What are the Chakras?

Chakras are ancient energy centres first described in the Vedas, sacred Indian texts dating back thousands of years. The word chakra means “wheel,” and these spinning energy points run along the spine, from the base to the crown of the head.

In yoga, we focus on seven main chakras, each linked to specific areas of the body and aspects of our well-being. When balanced, they help us feel grounded, open, and energised; when blocked, we may experience tension, stress, or disconnection.

Through this series, we’ll use movement, breath, and mindfulness to bring awareness and balance to each chakra, creating more harmony, flow, and vitality in your practice and daily life.

Next Week’s Theme

Next week, we’ll begin the Chakra Series, starting with the Root Chakra. Reserve your spot by booking online today - I look forward to practising with you!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend filled with self-compassion.

See you on the mat next week,
