Hello Everyone,

This week we have been celebrating the Autumn Equinox, which was on Monday, 22nd September! Having spoken to many of you in previous weeks, it seems a lot of you enjoy this time of year. The autumn equinox represents equal day and night, reminding us to find balance in our own lives. It also symbolises letting go of what no longer serves us, much like trees shedding their leaves.

This week’s intention: I create harmony between effort and ease in my life.

As requested by a lovely member of our community, here are the two songs I play interchangeably during savasana for you to enjoy in your own time:

The Sisterhood Networking Group

The wonderful ladies!
The wonderful ladies!

I attended my first-ever networking event this week, hosted by the wonderful Nic Kearney and Sarah Ridge with the Sisterhood Networking Group. I met an amazing group of women business owners. Running a business on your own can be challenging, so it was really nice to connect with others who can relate to all aspects of the journey. It was inspiring to hear everyone’s stories, learn about their businesses, and exchange encouragement and advice. I look forward to meeting with these women again and continuing to support each other.

The Meaning of OM

Recently, in my group classes, I have been ending the practice with a chant of OM. I thought it was only right to share a little more about the philosophy behind it and why I include it in our space.

OM (sometimes written as AUM) is considered the most sacred sound in yoga and Hindu tradition. It represents the vibration of the universe and the interconnectedness of all things. The sound is made up of three syllables:

  • A – the beginning, creation

  • U – the continuation, preservation

  • M – the ending, dissolution

Together, they symbolise the cycle of life, consciousness, and the universe. OM is often translated as “the sound of all creation” or “everything that was, is, and will be.”

Chanting OM helps to calm the mind, bring focus, and create a sense of unity within ourselves and with the world around us. It’s a way to connect with the present moment, cultivate mindfulness, and conclude the practice with a sense of harmony and peace.

As I always say, you never have to join in the chant - feel free to listen, or enjoy whatever feels right for you.

Next week, we’ll focus on the Solar Plexus Chakra, above the navel, which represents personal power, confidence, and self-esteem

I’d love to hear from you - what’s one thing you’re focusing on this week to bring more harmony into your life?

See you on the mat next week,

Eloise x
