Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely time celebrating Halloween weekend and ate all the sweet treats! 🍫🎃

I have been one busy bee recently with Yoga by Eloise, and it makes me so happy to see our community growing week by week.

Like I mentioned in the last blog, I’ve been prioritising my daily walks, so be prepared for all the swan pictures!🦢I recently bought a device called a Brick, which locks certain apps on your phone when you want to switch off. I’m hoping it will help me reduce doom scrolling and stop checking work late at night. I’ll report back on how that goes.

7 Week Chakra Series Complete🌈

The 7-week chakra series has officially come to an end. I hope you enjoyed these classes as much as I loved teaching them.

Throughout the series, we explored the seven main chakras, the body’s energy centres that run from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each chakra connects to different aspects of our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. When balanced, our energy flows freely and we feel grounded, connected, and at peace. When out of balance, we may feel blocked, tired, or unsettled.

Working with the chakras through yoga, meditation, and breath helps us tune into how our energy feels each day. It reminds us that balance is not about perfection, but about gently returning to harmony whenever life feels off centre. Here’s a look at the last two chakras we covered in the series:

Third Eye Chakra 👁️

Located between the eyebrows, the Third Eye Chakra is the seat of intuition. It governs wisdom, insight, and clarity of thought, helping us trust our inner guidance.

Intention: I trust my inner wisdom.

Yoga poses: Forward folds, Child’s Pose or Extended Child’s Pose, and Eagle.

Crown Chakra 👑

The Crown Chakra sits at the top of the head and is represented by a white or light indigo light. It connects us to our higher self and the world around us, bringing a sense of peace and spiritual connection.

Intention: I am connected to all that is.

Yoga poses: Humble Warrior, Fish, and Rabbit.

As we close this series, take a moment each day to check in with your energy. A few deep breaths or gentle movement can help you feel balanced and connected again.

A Reminder to Clean Your Yoga Mat🧼

ree

A gentle reminder to all yoga mat owners that this is your sign to clean your mat this week! Honestly, I am so bad at remembering to do it myself, but it is recommended to clean your mat at least once a week, or after every practice if you sweat a lot or attend hot yoga.

How to clean your yoga mat:

This depends on your mat’s material, so always check the manufacturer’s care instructions. There are many expensive, ready-made mat cleaners available, but here is how I clean mine using items you probably already have at home: Mix a drop of dish soap with water in a bowl, dip a cloth into the mixture, gently wipe the mat, and let it air dry. A little goes a long way!

Visit from a Friend

Last weekend, my friend Imogene visited from Dublin, Ireland. I met her during my yoga teacher training, and we have stayed close ever since. It is so lovely to have a fellow yoga teacher friend who shares my passion for the practice.

We celebrated Halloween with a fun night out in London, and the next day we went to Sloane Square for a yin class at KXU, which was so relaxing!

Next Week’s Theme: Challenges

Next week’s theme is Challenges, focusing on how we can offer ourselves kindness during difficult times and how to support others off the mat when they need it.

We will also be challenging our bodies in class, learning to practice patience and self-compassion in each pose.

I have already started planning next year’s class themes and have another exciting theme series in the works, diving into different principles of the yoga practice. I cannot wait to share it all with you soon.

Scroll down and subscribe to the blog/newsletter for more yoga-related content.

See you on the mat next week,

Eloise x
