Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all having a fabulous week and are enjoying the sunshine! 🌞

As I mentioned last week, I’m starting this weekly newsletter to share updates, yoga tips, and all things wellness to help us stay connected as a community. I’ll also be sharing music I’ve loved during classes and little things that brought a smile to my face this week 😊

Website update

I've made a small change on my website: the Blog section is now Blogs and Newsletters - so from now on, all newsletters will have a home there, and you can catch up on previous updates anytime.

You'll see a navigation bar (like the one shown) that lets you choose what you'd like to browse.

What’s the difference between the two?

🧘 Blogs: These will be more formal articles on specific yoga topics, such as debunking common misconceptions, sharing research, or focusing on particular poses and breathwork.

💌 Newsletters: A more casual space where I can share weekly updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and general goodness with the community.

April Week 2 Classes

I hope you all enjoyed celebrating Easter in class and indulged in the Easter chocolates I shared with you! 🍫 As always, it’s such a joy to share my love of yoga and be part of this wonderful community.

I also had the pleasure of teaching some private, female-only one-on-one lessons, which were such a lovely experience.

These classes are tailored to meet my clients' individual needs, and I truly enjoy spending time teaching people individually, getting to know my clients, and developing their own personalised yoga practice.

First female-only private lesson: £25!

🧼 Yoga mat reminder

A gentle reminder to all yoga mat owners - this is your sign to clean your yoga mat this week!

Honestly, I’m so rubbish at remembering to do it myself, but it's recommended to clean your mat at least once a week, or after every practice if you sweat a lot or attend hot yoga.

How to clean your yoga mat?

This depends on your mat's material, so always check the manufacturer’s care instructions. There are loads of expensive, ready-made mat cleaners online, but here’s how I clean mine using things you likely already have at home:

Simple DIY Method:

  • Warm water

  • A small drop of dish soap

  • A soft cloth

Mix the soap and water in a bowl, dip the cloth in, gently wipe the mat, and let it air dry. A little goes a long way!

Fancy DIY Mat Cleaner (NOT for cork or rubber mats)

Use an empty (clean!) spray bottle filled with water and a few drops of these essential oils with antimicrobial properties:

  • Tea Tree Oil

  • Lavender Oil

  • Peppermint Oil

  • Eucalyptus Oil

  • Lemon or Lemongrass Oil

  • Orange Oil

Spray your mat with a small amount of the solution, gently wipe it with a soft cloth, and let it air dry.

I currently use a blend of lavender, eucalyptus, and tea tree in my DIY mat cleaner. It smells so lovely and clean. Highly recommend! (All of these oils can be bought affordably on Amazon.)

Google review ⭐

If you haven’t already, I’d be so grateful if you could leave a quick review of my classes on Google – it really helps support my small business!

You’ll need to be logged into your Google/Gmail account (or you can create one using your usual email).

Thank you so much in advance!

My love for gardening

Still on the topic of wellness, I’ve been loving spending more time in the garden lately. There’s something so grounding about planting seeds, and honestly, it just feels good to get your hands in the earth now and then.

One of my students, who has now become one of my best friends, really got me back into gardening. I’m so grateful for her. We’re always swapping seedlings and sharing tips. It’s such a wholesome and kind little exchange that brings me so much joy.

I was gifted a mini greenhouse for Christmas, and I’ve been using it to plant everything from salad leaves to sunflowers. It makes me so happy watching all the bulbs I planted last year start to bloom, especially the tulips, which are my absolute favourite!

Here are a few photos I’ve taken recently:

Wishing you a fabulous Easter weekend!

Eat all the chocolate and enjoy time with your loved ones.

Is there something small that made you smile this week? Let’s share some joy in the comments!

See you on the mat next week,

Eloise x
